Adios 2014

For some it was a good year, for others not so much. For investments, it was mostly a good year, with both stocks and bonds benefiting from the growth of the U.S. economy. Foreign investments did not fare very well, as currency values shrank relative to the dollar, and foreign economies were stagnant. Commodities were mixed, with oil being the major game changer, as the price fell by more than 30%. What will 2015 bring? Will we see oil rebound, the U.S. economy continue to grow at a good rate, foreign countries working harder to stimulate their economies, and bond interest rates gradually rising? I think the answer to all of those questions is yes. But we will have to wait and see what 2015 really brings.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of the Secure Planning family. The staff of Secure Planning appreciates our opportunities to work with you and hopefully make your financial life a bit more stable and less stressful. We plan to continue doing this again in 2015.

Thank you,

Ed Mallon
